Four years ago, the Posies’ Ken Stringfellow disappeared from the public eye after three women accused him of sexual assault. Last year, he went on tour.

Is Dave Meinert his promoter?

I just simply don't understand people that get attacked and then choose to continue to hang out with the person. Seems to be pretty common in a lot of these cases. Is this guys star power SO bright that you just have to hang out with him and hope he doesn't physically assault you for a second time? It just makes no sense.

If you get bit by a rapid dog, don't reach your hand back in the cage and hope it doesn't happen again. Put the dog down.

So for shows like that they do a thorough google search on each ticket buyer?

i guess it's too bad you weren't allowed into the show because maybe it would have distracted you from caterwauling regurgitated third hand information for 20 grafs

I mean look.... you think it's ludicrous that he excluded press from his show because he was afraid the press would be negative.... and then you went and proved him justified in that notion, so

@2 Because our society's patriarchal culture conditions sexual assault victims to blame themselves for provoking the incident and to question their own ability to recall it accurately in the face of insistent, angry denials. This dynamic is especially potent when one's attacker possesses the kind of social capital and presumptive credibility that accrues to (for example) a member of a well-known band.

I do not discount what these many women have said, and his claim that they all colluded sounds terrible and deluded. At the same time, some of these allegations are baffling--or they are in how they are reported.

-"Stringfellow often relied on women for these logistical needs". Huh? Why would I care?

-"The same thing happened again....after a show in Los Angeles."Really? How long after what was presented here as an assault?

-"Stringfellow invited Mengardon to a house party." No issues raised? Just the two of them and they went into a room somewhere at this party?

-“There was no chat about consent.” That doesn't--by itself--make this a crime.

Clearly, to me, there are some serious and credible allegations, but also a lot of seemingly odd, 'extra' "allegations."

Frustrating.
