Today, Seattle punk trio Dude York released a music video for the second single, “Box,” off their fourth album Falling, which is out July 26 via Hardly Art. It’s a fun three and a half minutes with tons of local talent. The video stars Samie Detzer, Artistic Director of Washington Ensemble Theater (where it looks like the clip was also shot), who moves funkily around the stage in a routine put together by Seattle choreographer/dancer Alice Gosti (full disclosure: she’s also my roommate) in a single shot directed by Jared Caldwell.

And, god, is the song catchy—that guitar solo! It’s like if The Cure and The Killers made out while holding hands in the late 2010s, if that makes sense. Dude York tap into the jaunty, the bittersweet, the bright, the broken heart. Perfect for bouncing around your room on a sunny day after your Tinder hookup ghosted you. In addition to premiering this video, the band also announced that they’ll be joining Bleached’s October tour and will be sliding through the Crocodile on October 7.
