Joining Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, The Heist, and “Thrift Shop” among Seattle-sourced triumphs at last Sunday’s Grammy Awards: the gorgeous gown worn by singer/songwriter/Macklemore collaborator Hollis Wong-Wear, designed by hot-poop garment artist Mark Mitchell. Described by its creator as a Carole Lombard–esque number with an open back draped to the coccyx and hand-dyed the color Japanese Plum, the Grammy gown will be followed by another Wong-Wear/Mitchell collab, with two pieces from his acclaimed Burial collection featured in a forthcoming video for her band the Flavr Blue.
