Well, what can we say? Strangercrombie 2003 exceeded our wildest expectations. We had high hopes for this year's catalog, stuffed as it was with awesome gift packages and one-of-a-kind experiences. Local folks contributed more than $12,000 worth of goods and services to Strangercrombie 2003, and there were numerous priceless items, including lunch with the mayor, passes for arts events like SIFF and Bumbershoot, and VIP treatment at clubs all over town. And, of course, we auctioned off bits of The Stranger itself to the highest bidder, from the cover of our paper to the editorial integrity of our writers. Strangercrombie 2003 was a benefit for Northwest Harvest and before the auction began, we set $15,000 as our goal.
