Not a surprise: Suspect who shot Pierce County detectives had history of domestic issues.
Two out of three: Health care bill passes second vote.
Turncoat: Democratic Rep. Parker Griffith will announce Tuesday that he’s actually a Republican.
They’ll dominate that too: Apple getting into the TV business.
A surprise: Jesus’s house found just in time for Christmas! (Just kidding.)
Deal gone bad: Reported deal between Google and Yelp now being reported as dead.
What would you do?: Tiger Woods heads for Bahamas
This just in: Power outage on First and Capitol Hills.
A big chill: Europe is all frozen and shut down and shit.
A recent episode of Family Guy reminded me of this gem:

Power outage on Capitol Hill – Safeway at 15th & John is dark, and Group Health is on limited emergency backup power – no elevators, most computers out. Someone reported that a bus hit a power pole. What does the Stranger know about this?
We’ve got intermittent power here at Boylston E. & E. Denny: phones, some outlets (WTF?) & some lights are out, but I managed to reroute power to get the computers, printers, modem & firewall back on-line. The other offices in our building have similarly strange and apparently random outages as well.
Well, since the big cable companies have refused to allow people to pick ala carte what crappy cable channels they want maybe Apple getting into the biz will for them to actually finally make that offering?
Power outage is in the Times: http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/th…
Odd to have two instances in two days in a neighborhood that NEVER loses power. Time to buy batteries for my flashlights.
@1 – http://www.capitolhillseattle.com/2009/1…
@3 – Monday night’s power outage was similarly strange in my neighborhood – my apartment building was the only one on the block with power, but our cable and internet were out for the duration of the time everyone else’s power was out.
Amy Kate:
Get yourself some of those hand-crank LED flashlights; they’ll hold a charge for quite a while and you never have to worry about running out of batteries.
@5,
Say wha? In the four years I’ve lived on the Hill, my power has gone out multiple times. In contrast, my power never went out on Queen Anne or in the Central District.
MY BEER!!!
Turncoat: Democratic Rep. Parker Griffith will announce Tuesday that he’s actually a Republican.
Well….Alabama. Must be a strategic move for re-election. Probably voted with the R’s anyway. I know one risks a lot by judging a book by its cover, but he looks like Doofus Maroofus.
Big freeze brings misery and death to Europe!!!
Global Warming.
It’s going to get ugly, people….
