• The Mormon Church is launching a television ad campaign in Seattle this week called "I'm a Mormon," a series of testimonials addressing misconceptions about the religion. Asked what those misconceptions are, Seattle-area church spokeswoman Annette Bowen cited polygamy (those are "separate fundamentalists") and those funny knee-to-elbow underpants, which apparently Mormons don't wear all the time.
• Seattle City Council member Sally Clark—the wishy-washiest wishy-washer to ever wash a wish—was asked if her critics were wrong when they assailed her go-along-to-get-along, wishy-washy politics. Clark's reply? "It's up to you to make that decision."
• Everyone's favorite blackout juice, Four Loko, has agreed to change its packaging after being hit with charges of deceptive advertising from the Federal Trade Commission. The new labels will now state, "This can has as much alcohol as 4 regular (12 oz. 5 percent alc/vol) beers," and the cans will be resealable for multiple chuggings (shudder).
• Last weekend, King County Metro defied all definitions of the word "rapid" when it debuted the RapidRide B Line. Metro had predicted bus trips from Bellevue to Redmond would take as little as 35 minutes, but the bus took about 50 minutes. On a weekend.
• A KING 5/SurveyUSA poll released on September 26 shows Republican attorney general Rob McKenna beating Democratic congressman Jay Inslee in the governor's race 44–38. It marked the second time in two weeks that a poll found McKenna beating Inslee. (The previous poll, by Strategies 360, found McKenna up 46–39.)
• A reader poll on Slog, The Stranger's blog, found that 74 percent of respondents believed that cocaine should be legalized and regulated. The poll is legally binding.
• This time next year, you may be paying for parking with your cell phone—even when you're away from your car. Proposed by Mayor Mike McGinn, the program would cost the city $78,000 in monthly service charges. But city budget director Beth Goldberg says the "convenience factor" could result in people staying parked longer and, perhaps, generating more revenue.
