I had something to say about the trustworthiness of a news organization being forever indebted to Big Cupcake, but I can't for the life of me get strikethough text working here. If we could just all pretend what I was going to post was hilarious, that would help me out a ton.

So glad to see the City Collegian rise from the dead. (I worked there in the mid '80s.)

@2 That is really not an argument. That is an attack. Just like other student clubs, the NCC could get funding from SCCC. And claiming it is unreadable, while using expletives, makes you sound like you are attacking it without any evidence or proof.

Maybe the Stranger could donate a page a month in black and white to selected articles from SCCC's students? That would be great! Student vying for the right to say "HEY! The Stranger grabbed my piece for the monthly page!"

As for feeling indebted to Cupcake Royale? I don't think that we do. They got some print advertising and they believe in the same ideals around Free Speech that we do. Symbiosis, as advertising with news should be.

Anyway, I'd like to add a big thanks to Jeb, Aaron, and all the former and current writers and helpers. Sebastian has done a bangup job since he took over, too!

Also, the other article about guns ("Guns Don't Kill People. Class War Does") is most definitely a better read.

I worked there before the protest whatever that downed the paper. It was a pretty shitty paper, and I was the effing EIC, but man did it get waaaay shitter after I left! I was so happy it was dead. Maybe the new one isn't as useless as the old one.

I remember having to explain official capacity to the editor after me... he didn't end up "getting it"
