After Lisa Herbold trailed Shannon Braddock by just six votes in Tuesday's count, it looked like she'd probably take the lead in the next count. But that didn't happen today. Braddock is still ahead in the race—by 18 votes—for a seat representing West Seattle's District 1 on the Seattle City Council. That's a small slip for Herbold, who got about 53 percent of the last ballot drop on Tuesday but only about 48 percent of today's count, and it means the race could still go either way. About 1,200 ballots remain uncounted in that district.

In southeast Seattle's District 2, incumbent Bruce Harrell's lead over his challenger Tammy Morales has widened from 378 votes on Friday to 424 today. With only about 900 votes left to count in that district, he looks pretty safe.
