News you can use: King County Metro will offer free bus rides to all customers on New Year's Eve. The Seattle Streetcar will also be free. Light rail will still cost you, but Sound Transit will extend service.
The free bus service will run from 4 am on December 31 to 4 am on January 1.
Generally speaking, buses will run on a Sunday schedule on New Year's Eve. The free rides include DART and Access. The midnight-5 am "Night Owl" routes will also be in service. And these routes will have extra buses to get more people to busy areas like Seattle Center: 1, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 14, 24, 32, 36, 40, 41, 62, 65, 70, 101, 106, 120, 124, 150, 255, RapidRide A, B, C, D and E Lines, and ST 550, ST 554.
The streetcar will run until 1 am. Sound Transit buses and trains will require regular fares. Trains will run northbound toward the University of Washington every half hour until 1:30 am and southbound toward Angle Lank until 2 am.
There you go. Don't drive drunk, you fucking idiot.
