Still not corrected - Assistant City Attorney Eddie Lin is Running for District 2 (headline from the previous announcement).
As for Adonis Ducksworth, agreed he seems like a good dude (like his idea of encouraging D2 residents to pursue civil service careers - cops, firefighters, etc.). Seems like he just needs more specifics, let’s hope these mature / solidify in the coming months of the campaign.
He sounds pretty good by Seattle standards. Not too thrilled about his plans for "progressive" revenue, but it sounds like he's willing to Back the Blue, which is always refreshing to hear from a Seattle pol.
I note that the guy is is allegedly m the Senior Transportation Planner for SDOT, is standing on a corner that lacks an ADA ramp. In 2017, Disability Activist Conrad Reynoldson, with the strong support of the Seattle Disability Commission, successfully sued the City of Seattle to force the City to build, and in many cases, rebuild bad ADA ramps. A high plurality of the corners lacking ADA ramps, are, naturally, in D2. The City is far, far behind in meeting the terms of the lawsuit. Such ramps don't just help people who use wheelchairs, but skateboarders, scooter riders, people using strollers, wagons, or grocery carts. They are also used by delivery services, who often must park in the middle of the street and then to attempt to drag their handtrucks laden with beer, groceries, or whatever else over the curbs.
Come on, Adonis. You sound promising, except for your slavish devotion to more taxes.
Nobody has "specifics" on how to fix this city or else they'd be doing it. The bar is super low and he easily leaps over it compared to the other options.
The other candidate is Eddie Lin, not “Kim.”

"Is he ready to fight for D2?"
Well, it sounds like he has a familiarity with,` and interest in, District 2. That's a start, and a definite improvement over Morales.

He seems to be a politician without the limiting political backers...I like that
