First, if you’re looking for loved ones:

The Washington State Patrol has also set up a reunification center for family and friends of victims at DuPont City Hall. Law enforcement is telling people not to go to the scene of the derailment itself.

Second, if you’re able, donate blood. Bloodworks Northwest has already donated more than 150 units toward disaster survivors, and they say that a donation even later in the week still helps keep their supply running for other people who need it. There are a number of local blood drives all over the city, or you can go to one of Bloodworks’ offices. Schedule and find a location here.

State officials are also asking people to avoid driving southbound on I-5 south of Tacoma unless absolutely necessary.
