To the person who left their dog at the Genesee dog park in August 2005 with a note attached to her collar: You wrote that her name was Poochie, she was 1 year old and good with children. A woman approached me, pointed to the dog, and informed me that the pup was abandoned. Because the woman called animal control, I decided to take "Poochie" with me when I left. If I didn't, there was a good chance her fate would have been a very different one. I tried to find her a home, but to no avail. We decided to keep her. She was pretty freaked out, but eventually we earned her trust. She wound up having a very good life. She's traveled many places, loves lounging on the couch, eats a diet of raw meat and veggies, and gets plenty of love and exercise. While I don't agree with the way you handled the situation, I wanted to thank you for giving me my best friend. I can't imagine my life without her.
