The warning would only be relevant if a) the husband from the film were real, and b) he was the husband you were leaving.

Telling your husband that you no longer want to make a life with him is hard enough, but to have already set up your new life and tell him as you're basically stepping onto the plane is magnitudes worse, in my opinion (and I have a very informed opinion on this matter).
