University District/Wed Nov 25/1:57 pm: Officer Hoppers reports: "I was dispatched to the Seattle North Precinct to investigate an assault incident from three weeks ago. I arrived to the precinct and contacted complainant/victim, who reported that on October 31, 2009, he went to the Ave in the University District.

"At approximately 2:00 a.m., he left a bar and began walking to a nearby fraternity. As he neared Northeast 47th Street and 16th Avenue, he observed five males and one female walking nearby. The victim commented that the female was 'hot,' and the males with her became upset. All of the subjects were wearing Halloween costumes similar to clowns. The unknown males began to assault the victim. He was punched and then struck in the head by an unknown blunt object.

"After the attackers left the scene, the victim was escorted to a nearby fraternity and an attempt was made to treat his bleeding head. The head continued to bleed, and he had to be driven to UW Medical Center. While at the hospital, he received eight staples on his head for the open wound. He also had a black right eye.

"He tried to report the assault over the next three weeks but was unable to. He drove to the North Precinct today to file a report. He stated he is unable to identify any of the suspects."

What surfaces in this crime are instincts that come from the deepest parts of the human animal. The behavior of the attacking males is similar to that of prehistoric tribesmen who can see nothing in females (no charm, no beauty) but a practical reproductive value. Clown costumes cannot repress this ancient reaction: Any male who threatens the chance of reproduction, the chance of transferring the tribe's genes, is beaten down to the very last compound.

Beacon Hill/Sat Nov 28/6:15 pm: Officer Hurst reports: "We were sent via dispatch to South Spokane Street and Columbian Way on a robbery-type case. We arrived at about 18:20 hours and located the victim at South Hinds Place and Columbian Way. OBSERVATIONS: Upon arrival I observed a Hispanic male on a cell phone. I observed a laceration about one inch in length behind his left ear.

"The Hispanic male stated that he was in the Seattle area to meet someone about buying car parts. He only talked to this person over the phone, and the seller told him to meet in the parking lot of Jefferson Community Center. He met the seller, who was an older Asian male; the transaction happened; and the seller got into his Mercedes SUV and left the area.

"Afterward, as the Hispanic male was looking at the car parts, two black males approached him from behind and stated: 'Give me all your stuff—I'm not playing with you—or I'll pop you.' He then saw a medium-sized silver revolver in the suspect's hand. The suspect started to grab items off him—cell phone, wallet, Washington ID, and 10 dollars. The Hispanic man was then hit in the head behind the left ear with the bottom of the gun handle. He was unable to get a look at the suspect's face. SFD arrived, stated that the victim needed stitches behind his left ear, and treated the laceration on the scene."

There is only one thing to take away from this crime: Beacon Hill has proved, once again, to be one of the most multiracial neighborhoods in the United States of America. recommended
