Good news, sisters! We can put out the bra-burning pile and quit whining about sexual harassment. We've finally achieved the thing our foremothers worked so hard to achieve: a McDonald's sign.

Business Insider reports that McDonald's is marking International Women's Day on March 8 by turning the iconic M logo upside down on all their "digital channels," and giving special Women's Day "packaging, crew shirts and hats, and bag stuffers" to 100 McDonald's franchises. At least one McDonald's in Lynnwood, California, has flipped the big M sign outside in the parking lot upside down as well. There is no word, however, if they will charge women 20 percent less than men.

"In celebration of women everywhere, and for the first time in our brand history, we flipped our iconic arches for International Women's Day in honor of the extraordinary accomplishments of women everywhere and especially in our restaurants," McDonald's global chief diversity officer, Wendy Lewis, said in a statement.

"From restaurant crew and management to our C-suite of senior leadership, women play invaluable roles at all levels, and together with our independent franchise owners, we're committed to their success." Which is why three of their 14 highest ranking executives are women, and why they pay their cooks and cashiers an average of $9 per hour.
