Hes on the lam!
He's on the lam! MIVPIV/GETTY

I hear helicopters circling right now and I can't help but wonder if it's because of this insane press release that was just emailed to me.

A 49-year-old man was being transferred to the King County Correctional Facility in downtown Seattle today. During that process he was able to blend in a-la-Hollywood cliché with a group of inmates who were being processed for release. He up and walked right out the front door.

The suspect, Joseph Matthew Tremato, was arrested on Saturday Aug. 18 on drug and burglary charges. He saw his chance for escape during the transfer today and he took it.

Tremato is seen on security camera footage joining the group of inmates being processed for release, being processed for release himself, and then walking out of jail. That was at 4:30 p.m. today.

It's unclear how long it took for officials to notice that Tremato was not where he was supposed to be and that he had escaped. They only noticed when a head count was conducted. The facility was placed on lockdown and the search has been going on ever since.

The best part about this is that Tremato, a 5'7 and 160 pound guy, is pretty generic looking. Perfectly easy to blend into a crowd. Except for the fact that he has the word "ZOOM" tattooed across the back of his head in thick black letters.

The King County Department of Adult & Juvenile Detention could not be immediately reached for comment. This post will be updated with further information. There are too many unanswered questions for it not to be.
