Yesterday (conspicuously just a few days before the start of the NFL season) Nike released their newest "Just Do It" ad campaign featuring former quarterback Colin Kaepernick who famously knelt during the national anthem to protest police brutality and promote the Black Lives Matter movement, inspiring many other players to follow suit.

This announcement sent right-wing racists into a blind tizzy, with some of them protesting by burning their already-purchased sneakers and... cutting the Nike swoop out of their socks (???) in some kind of misguided weird protest not unlike last year's very short-lived and hilarious "Boycott Keurig" campaign.
Our Soundman just cut the Nike swoosh off his socks. Former marine. Get ready @Nike multiply that by the millions. pic.twitter.com/h8kj6RXe7j

Anyway, the internet LOVES IT SO MUCH (!!!) when dum-dum rednecks do dum-dum things, because it gives us something to point at and laugh uproariously about. And with that in mind, TAKE IT AWAY, TWITTER!
I'm finally cutting out the Nike logos out of my Nike pillow case! pic.twitter.com/cP9Un6PVzH

If you really want to own the libs, stuff a pair of Nike Air VaporMax Premier Flyknits in your Keurig while carrying a long gun in Target and not seeing "Hamilton." #NikeBoycott

This is our sound guy who gave up on his quilt two squares in because his sewing machine jammed, and there’s no way Cracker Barrell would peddle his wares with these jagged edges pic.twitter.com/Tsur9iJKhd

People are getting rid of their Nikes? Can we make Colin Kaepernick the new face of the AR-15 too?

Face of Nike - Colin Kaepernick
Face of Puma - Jay Z
Face of Adidas - Kylie Jenner
Face of Reebok - Kendrick Lamar
Face of Under Armour - Steph Curry

So y’all #NikeBoycott can walk around barefoot 😂

To own the libz I...
-stuck my unwashed feet in my Nikes and tied them tight
-slammed my Nikes into the pavement repeatedly, battering them against dirty sidewalks for almost 2.5 miles
-threw my Nikes into a dark closet to hide their shame#BoycottKeurig

Good thing Nike doesn’t make umbrellas. Then fools would be walking around getting soaked under a wire frame and saying “WINNING!” #NikeBoycott #ColinKaepernick
