My guess is there are more people who get the fond nostalgic feels about Schoolhouse Rock than there are people who hate it or donât even know about it at all. Granted, the animated, educational series of musical shorts touching on history, grammar, math, science and politics might have had its original run from 1973 to 1985, but it was revived for a while in the â90s, and grade school teachers are likely still showing it to their students. A quick poll of millennial staffers finds that âIâm Just a Billâ (1976) and âConjunction Junctionâ (1973) are the top two faves, which just goes to show you this shit is timeless.
David Hsieh's ReAct Theatre presents both of the aforementioned jams, along with various others (like âLolly, Lolly, Lollyâ and âInterplant Janetâ) during their 90-minute stage production at 12th Avenue Arts. Final shows this weekend.
