Bus sign says NE Pacific Street & Montlake Blvd NE, so I'm going with that.

3

@1 What kind of foul magic is this? Are you psychic??

6

Did you just move here? This is pretty typical weather for December. Quit whining.

7

@5: Could you post a list or something on what races are allowed into what businesses? You have piqued my curiosity.

Also, the guy who runs Uncle Ike's is Jewish, if that changes any of your racial calculations.

8

@5:

We've been over this, like, a dozen times since Eisenberg opened his cannabis shop at 23rd & E Union - that so-called "youth program" was nothing more than an empty storefront for at least six or seven years prior, if not longer. Ask anyone who lives or has lived in the neighborhood: nobody ever went in or out of it, it was never in-use, and the churchies across the street who owned the building were never able to provide any sort of proof that it had been otherwise left unoccupied for years prior to their making this preposterous claim to the contrary.

And just for shits and giggles: if you're so opposed to a pot shop on that corner, then may we also assume you want to see the liquor store across the street, that's been there for several decades, go away as well?

9

@5 What do you want to do, turn the Uncle Ike's storefront back into a sandwich shop in which the proprietor gets shot every few years? Because that's what that corner was for many years prior to Eisenberg opening up shop.

Why didn't Time give acknowledgment to Eli's reporting, or is Eli also a reporter for the Associated Press?

11

It’s winter in Seattle. Get a good raincoat and deal with it. Your daily whining about the weather is tiresome and a waste of your talents.

12

Enough with the strike-throughs.

13

I think Michael Bell knows who was cutting the brakes on those bikes a fee months ago.

14

Quit whining about the rain and snow. It would be great to have a relatively smoke-free August at least once more in my lifetime.

15

From the trailer it appears that Mary Poppins continues to arrive on the East Wind. She don't need no stinkin' lime bike.

16

Looks like we got the ‘quit whining’ chorus up in here! I’m sure the only thing they ever whine about is people they percieve to be whining ;)

17

People whining about Michael's whining are the more tiresome of the whinings.

18

@16,

Gah, started my comment, then got a call at work and so you beat me to it!

I'm sooooo tired of my dumb phone always preventing me from making the relevant slog comment....

19

"What do you want to do, turn the Uncle Ike's storefront back into a sandwich shop in which the proprietor gets shot every few years? "

Well that would certainly help create affordable housing in the neighborhood.

20

@16:

Sounds like you're whining about people whining about people whining...

"Here's a tree in Fremont that seems to have gotten the wrong holiday message. "

"Wrong"? Wow, so judgemental. Perhaps the tree is celebrating a holiday you know nothing about. Did you think to stop and ask it? No, you didn't. Way to be culturally insensitive. Trees were here before people you know. And that tree is older than you, son. Respect your Alders.

22

Okay, sure the numbers are likely to be inflated some, but two million trips?
Holy crap that's a big number.
I'm old & cranky so of course like others in my age cohort I complain about the visual blight of all those bikes left around, but shit oh dear. I'm gonna remind myself from now on... two million trips.
I don't care how you slice it, that is a lot fewer cars that had to be on the street, a lot more seats on the bus.

23

The Fremont tree is a Geocache. Now you know.
