JusMoni plays this Sunday at Clock-Out Lounge Lester Black

Beacon Hill native JusMoni (aka Moni Tep) is bringing her dreamy, R&B-inflected tunes back to her home turf. This Sunday's show at Clock-Out Lounge celebrates her new three-song EP release, Ease & Mercy and another project that is coming out in April.

On 2018’s Sweet to Me, her voice—sweet and ethereal—transports you to other dimensions on spacey, bass-heavy “Linked In,” much different from the corporate hellscape that shares the song's name. I recommend you light some incense before listening.

“Got It on Tape” features the one and only Stas THEE Boss, where JusMoni’s voice floats like smoke over tight electric guitar and Stas raps deftly over the retro beat. I've actually been bumping this one a lot, listening to it on my walk to work—Stas and JusMoni's voices balance each other well. It's the perfect track to herald spring.

Off her most recent release Ease & Mercy, "FWB" plays like an underwater R&B fantasy.

JusMoni will be supported by Rell Be Free, a Seattle rapper who is described as a "teaching artist, youth servant, and emcee extraordinaire," Intylekt on the beats, and Miss Brodway on the turntables. We can expect to hear some new tracks from Rell Be Free soon—at least that's what I heard.

See you all there!
