Beacon Hill native JusMoni (aka Moni Tep) is bringing her dreamy, R&B-inflected tunes back to her home turf. This Sunday’s show at Clock-Out Lounge celebrates her new three-song EP release, Ease & Mercy and another project that is coming out in April.

On 2018โ€™s Sweet to Me, her voiceโ€”sweet and etherealโ€”transports you to other dimensions on spacey, bass-heavy โ€œLinked In,โ€ much different from the corporate hellscape that shares the song’s name. I recommend you light some incense before listening.

โ€œGot It on Tapeโ€ features the one and only Stas THEE Boss, where JusMoniโ€™s voice floats like smoke over tight electric guitar and Stas raps deftly over the retro beat. I’ve actually been bumping this one a lot, listening to it on my walk to workโ€”Stas and JusMoni’s voices balance each other well. It’s the perfect track to herald spring.

Off her most recent release Ease & Mercy, “FWB” plays like an underwater R&B fantasy.

JusMoni will be supported by Rell Be Free, a Seattle rapper who is described as a “teaching artist, youth servant, and emcee extraordinaire,” Intylekt on the beats, and Miss Brodway on the turntables. We can expect to hear some new tracks from Rell Be Free soonโ€”at least that’s what I heard.

See you all there!
