There are only 41 days left until Pickathon, and summer is officially well and truly underway. To help you stave off your unbearable anticipation, here's another video from our Pickathon Starlight Series, in which we showcase some of the great performances from last year's Pickathon that took place on the intimate Starlight Stage during the wee hours of the Portland-area festival.

Tell UW Medicine to invest in healthcare workers!
Healthcare workers at Harborview and UW Medical Center-Northwest care for you. Now it’s time for UW Medicine to care for us.

Today's video comes from Alela Diane, the Portland-based songwriter whose exquisite Cusp album from 2018 dealt with motherhood, womanhood, and living as an artist in ways that rarely get addressed publicly. One of Cusp's highlights, "Moves Us Blind," is performed here with Heather Woods Broderick on piano and Mirabai Peart on percussion. It's a moving and memorable performance, conveying an undeniably strong emotional undercurrent beneath the song's gentle exterior.

There are still tickets available for this year's Pickathon, and the schedule for the weekend is now live.
