Lizzo, one of the hottest pop stars in the world and perhaps the biggest draw at this year’s Bumbershoot, is cancelling her appearance tonight because of a medical issue.
Bumbershoot♥️ I have to cancel cus of severe sinus infection. I been battling all week & tried to power thru but it got worse. I have been advised by my dr that I can’t fly until I am better. I hate cancelling shows. I am so sorry Seattle. I love y’all.

The cancellation is a bummer for many fans who missed the singer/rapper/flautist‘s Capitol Hill Block Party set in July, at which one Stranger staffer noticed multiple audience members having panic attacks, as well as for those who were hoping to see her perform in a more spacious venue. Sacramento, California EDM duo Hippie Sabotage will be replacing Lizzo for today’s 7:40 pm slot at Memorial Stadium.
