As long as the GOP and NRA are allowed to retain their chokehold over gun policy, the rest of us are fucked. Why are military assault weapons and excessive force in police departments nationwide deemed "necessary" for use AT ALL on U.S. citizens, particularly the unarmed? This is nothing other than domestic terrorism.
Seattle Mayor Bruce Harrell, backers of HB 1313 Rep. David Hackney, (D-Tukwila), Rep. Nicole Macri (D-Seattle), WA AG SuperBob Ferguson (bravo for pushing SB 5078!), Senator Joe Nguyen (D-West Seattle), and Sean Goode, executive director of Choose 180 have sound ideas on changing the current gun laws in Washington State. RCW article 9.41.290 is an exercise in futility and needs to go.

Gun Nut Assholes for Holding Citizens Prison Chief Man Caver, Allen Gottlieb needs his mouth permanently sewn shut for repeatedly going off half-cocked.

You guys have noticed that criminals don't obey the law, correct? Committing crimes with guns is already illegal. How does increasing prohibitions that only the law-abiding will abide help with the violence and crime? Perhaps we should focus on the root causes of crime and let the law-abiding exercise their constitutional rights.

And when we find a solution to controlling gun violence, we can apply it to the drug problem as well.

I like #4's tautological approach to having laws.

Let's take it to its logical conclusion: Murderers do not obey laws on not murdering. So scrap those laws. Thieves do not obey laws on not thieving - so out those laws go. Gosh. Pedophiles utterly ignore laws on not pedophiling - so those laws are just useless.

In fact crime exists. Because criminals ignore laws. So therefore? No more laws!

@6: "Because criminals ignore laws."

You misspelled district attorneys and judges.
