It definitely hurt our feelings a little bit that she would rip us off so hard. It’s like, I thought I knew her better because I saw her softer side in that that documentary.

I just got done with a hard-hitting interview with MTV concerning my band Tacocat's concern over Katy Perry's Super Bowl halftime show—during which Katy Perry completely ripped off our music video for the song "Crimson Wave," which we released one year and 11 days before the 2015 Super Bowl.

We know Ms. Perry is a busy person and it can be difficult to come up with beach-themed concepts for your Super Bowl halftime show, but beaches, sharks, people dressed as sharks, dancing sharks, dancing, and fun WERE OUR IDEA. All we're asking for is a formal apology from Katy Perry issued to us in a sleepover setting, and, of course, a co-headlining world tour. If that happens, #SharkGate will be something we can all laugh about later while shopping for plastic skirts at the mall.
