Restaurant Roux in Fremont is just great: completely tasty, totally satisfying, and actually spicy. And messy, too (you get a hot towel to clean your post-peel-’n’-eat-shrimp mitts). Matt Lewis, of Where Ya at Matt truck fame, makes the food of his native New Orleans with chef Mike Robertshaw here; get the gizzards, the shrimp and grits, the jambalaya, the fried rabbit.
