(VISUAL ART) Here's a diverse group of kick-ass contemporary artists dipping into the moonshiney glory that is Americana. Take your pick: Gary Monroe's snake handlers, Jon Langford's fucked-up homages to country legends, Ryan Greis's hillbillies, Daniel Martin Diaz's truly weird religious art, Fred Stonehouse's Mexican folk-surrealism, and Thomas Huck's rural satires. They are all disturbing and beautiful. (Roq la Rue, 2316 Second Ave, 374-8977. 1–6 pm, free.)
