I once met a man at the Tattoo Expo who was covered, and I mean COVERED, in tattoos—including his face, which was an American flag, with “USA” across his forehead. When I asked him for a picture, he just stuck out his tattooed tongue at me. He was made of magic. The expo is for gawkers like me, established and emerging tattoo artists from all over the world, and hundreds of ink-loving fans who want to get inspired or get some top-notch new work done right there on the spot. There will be lots of best and worst contests, live music, and burlesque. (Northwest Rooms, Seattle Center, seattletattooexpo.com, 2–10 pm, $15)
