Hey, it’s Labor Day weekend—you still have one more day off! Maybe you wanna go for a drive? Beyond the always-scenic I-90 pass is one of the best traditional “old rodeos” in the Northwest. Started by cattle ranchers in 1923, the Ellensburg Rodeo is one of the top professional rodeos, with more than 600 hundred contestants (read: hundreds of real-deal cowboys ’n’ cowgirls walkin’ around in really tight Wranglers!). In addition to the cow-ropin’ and horse-ridin’, the rodeo also includes the Kittitas County Fair. So you can grab a tight-jean-wearing friend, get some cotton candy, and ride the Zipper.
