UPDATE: We are sad to report that SlutWalk has been canceled for a mixture of financial and logistical reasons. The organizers promise to organize a variety of smaller events in the coming months. More info at slutwalkseattle.com.

This year is SlutWalk Seattle’s fourth birthday—that’s four consecutive years of marching through Capitol Hill and downtown to publicly protest rape culture, specifically victim-blaming and slut-shaming. People of all genders and identities, survivors, and their allies are encouraged to join the march that starts at Cal Anderson Park at 11 a.m. Visit slutwalkseattle.com for more info (and to apply to become an outreach representative at local high-school and college campuses). On a related note, if you haven’t read ibelieveyouitsnotyourfault.tumblr.com, please do that immediately. (March begins at Cal Anderson Park, 1635 11th Ave, slutwalkseattle.com, 11 am–4 pm)
