When a resident DJ from Berlin’s Panorama Bar ventures into your area for a gig, it’s a good idea to make sure you attend it. Such is the case tonight, as Steffi, a Dutch-born producer, DJ, and owner of the Klakson and Dolly labels, commandeers Q’s majestic DJ booth. At Panorama, selectors have to keep some of the world’s most discerning clubbers moving, and judging from the mixes I’ve heard by her, Steffi’s trippy and libidinous techno/house selections trigger synapses just right. Her 2011 album on Ostgut Ton, Yours & Mine, melds Detroit techno’s futuristic thrust and Chicago house’s nocturnal soulfulness into a classy all-night glide. Veteran Scottish producer/DJ Funk D’Void (aka Lars Sandberg) has been creating meaty, big-room techno and acidic house for about 19 years. He knows what he’s doing. Q Nightclub, 9 pm, $12 adv, 21+.
