(MOVIE) Even if it was 37 years in the making, Beach Boy Brian Wilson’s Smile is an ebullient collection of epic, psychedelic pop. The story of the record’s creation, shelving, and resurrection is too long to go into here, so instead I recommend attending the screening of Brian Wilson Presents Smile. The DVD includes interviews with music and film luminaries about Wilson as well as the 2004 live debut of this once-lost masterpiece. (The Triple Door, 216 Union St, 838-4333. 7:30 pm, free.)
