(FILM) Part of the Northwest Film Forum’s The Other Indie series, this screening will introduce you to one of the Northwest’s very best filmmakers. Portland’s Matt McCormick, who will attend the screening, makes smart, skewed, experimental documentaries about marginalia like tugboats (his gorgeous new 16mm Towlines) and massive rodents (the very funny American Nutria). You’ll also get to see his “big hit,” The Subconscious Art of Graffiti Removal, narrated by Miranda July. (NWFF, 1515 12th Ave, 267-5380. 7 pm, $5–$8.).
