This Thanksgiving will be the vegetarian favorite’s 29th Thanksgiving, and they’ve transformed their annual prix-fixe meal into a family-style takeout meal, with vegetarian and vegan/gluten-free options. Dishes include heirloom potato and celery root soup, autumn vegetable-filled puff pastry, pumpkin risotto cakes, braised kohlrabi and cabbage, and cranberry bramley apple chutney, with pastry add-ons like pumpkin pie, orange chocolate coffee cake, and vegan cranberry glazed shortbread. A portion of proceeds will be donated to Real Rent Duwamish. Orders are available through 5 pm on November 18 or until sold out, and will be available for pickup from 1-7 pm on Wednesday, November 25. Leave it to Seattle’s premier fine-dining restaurant to create an extravagant takeout meal. The package includes a turkey, brioche and black truffle stuffing, turkey gravy, cranberry blood orange sauce, molasses candied yams and spiced pecans, green bean and chanterelle casserole kit, and a pumpkin tart with whipped cream. Plus, it even comes with two bottles of wine, a link to a step-by-step video from chef Brady Williams on how to roast your turkey, and ways to dress up the next-day leftovers into sandwiches (arguably the best part of the meal): sandwich loaf bread and “morning after” sauce with mayo, black pepper, and Tabasco. Each comes with a number of sides of your choice, with options like Brussels sprout and collard green slaw, four-cheese Anson Mills grits, smoked jalapeño kale Caesar, brioche and biscuit herb stuffing, baked green chili mac and cheese, and braised “grandma” green beans. There’s also a selection of Thanksgiving cocktail kits, including hot buttered rum, bloody Marys, pear Bellinis, and Kilgore stout. Pickup is available on Thanksgiving from 1-3 pm.
