Exactly what they look like—bubble balls
Pretty much exactly what they look like CHETANYA ROBINSON

It turns out they’re people celebrating a birthday party with huge bubble balls from a company called, well, BubbleBall.

Bryan Zippro is owner of the Redmond-based company, which provides the balls, a field and nets for people to play soccer. People rent them for birthday parties and other events, he said. “Really there’s no rules - it’s just fun.”

Why play soccer in a bubble? “Because it’s fun. Because you get to hit, you get to knock people down, and it’s just fun.”

Zippro is 61, but that doesn’t stop him from getting inside the bubbles himself. “My favorite thing is hitting the young guys and knocking them over. It’s just fun.”
