(THEATER) “Awesome” is hard to describe. There are seven of them. They are guys. Their instruments include a trumpet, an accordion, a guitar, a mandolin, a banjo, a typewriter, a bass, four drums, three cymbals, two clarinets, a theremin, a melodica, two glockenspiels, kitchen utensils, a piano, a violin, a saxophone, and a bullhorn. Their first show, a “subtle spectacular” called Delaware, was a hit. This one, noSIGNAL, involves bees, cell suicide, outer space, 12 brand-spanking-new songs, and video by David Russo. (See page 29.) (On the Boards, 100 W Roy St, 217-9888. May 4โ6, 8 pm, $18.)
