UNIVERSITY STREET FAIR--Considered by many to be the "cleanest" street fair in the city, this annual gathering of prepsters and vest-clad individuals who have never, ever smoked pot in their lives continues to prove that the University District is the place to go to buy a well-tailored briefcase and matching Florsheim shoes. SATURDAY NIGHT SIZZLER--Continuing its mission to disabuse boxing's bad rap, the rockin' Cappy's Gym offers this evening of live action, sparring, boxing fitness demos, and free door prizes to benefit the Minor Home Repair Program, an agency that benefits the elderly. LAKE CITY RECORD COLLECTORS CONVENTION--Sure to be a gathering of squinty-eyed, corduroy-clad fellows with slightly grown-out haircuts, each with a stellar and well-articulated collection of albums, compact discs, and 45s, many of which you will think at the time you really, really need and will later stash in a box in the closet (beneath the food dehydrator you got for two bucks at that great garage sale) until your cousin's wife asks you to DJ her son's bar mitzvah.
