That's what the artist Carolee Schneemann once said. An exhibition of Schneemann's work opens Saturday at the Henry Art Gallery, and I'm interviewing her this morning at 10.

Maybe I should ask her what she thinks of the National Gallery of Art's abysmal record of showing female artists compared to its peer institutions, documented today by Tyler Green on Modern Art Notes.

LA Times critic Christopher Knight Tweets, piling on, that perhaps Hillary Clinton would like to field the question, give that, as Green notes, "The National Gallery of Art received $159 million from American taxpayers in the 2011 federal fiscal year."

Now that's just unAmerican.
