A year ago, Seattle Art Museumâs ads shouted âWomen are taking over!â as it presented Elles, an exhibition of female artists from Parisâs Centre Pompidou. Galleries jumped in with shows of women artists and talks about gender. Did any of it matter? Tonightâs open discussion is about how and how often women show up in Seattle art, a year after the deluge. The panel kicking things off contains artists Susanna Bluhm and Susie Lee and myselfâbut itâs a conversation that will be defined by whoever shows up.
