Due in part to the efforts of Mudhoney frontman Mark Arm, Sub Pop has wisely resuscitated Aussie untuned punk/rock stalwarts feedtime from obscurity by reissuing the band’s first four albums in a package named The Aberrant Years. Aside from a one-off show in San Francisco last year, the band hasn’t played together, much less toured, in 22 years. Borne of the gritty rock scene of late-’70s/early-’80s Sydney, their gruff, unwavering, and unapologetic sound delivers catharsis through volume, repetition, and sheer force. With Mudhoney.
