Not to sound like a douche (well, kind of to sound like a douche), but welcome to the internet. How old is your kid? Obviously old enough to type in a url. He’s part of the community, and it’s an egalitarian one, so you can’t stop him.
Also, all that he got from the article is that you didn’t like his drawing? Sounds like y’all should have a frank conversation, because there was way more there that he should’ve taken an interest in.
Holy shit, there are other lives dependent upon Charles Mudede?!? I’m so sorry kids. So sorry.
The family is part of the public. A writer who does not wish his or her writing to be known to the family should use a pen name.
That the child read the piece is punishment enough. The father was subjected to drawings of an inferior quality that he did not want to be exposed to. The son was subjected to writing of an inferior quality that he also found to be a negative experience. There is little left to do. Whether or not the piece was satire, it wasn’t very interesting or amusing satire. And it was poorly thought out if there are actual children involved. Apologizing to one’s family would be an appropriate thing to do.
