I think the link for This American life is broken ๐
@1 – Working for me.. what’s it doing?
I remember that This American Life episode. It was so damn funny, painfully funny. Laughed so hard my side hurt.
I laughed until I almost wrecked my car during that broadcast.
Yeah, only the 30 second promo works–you have to buy the episode on i-tards.
I still get funny feelings down there when I see Sandra Dee in a Peter Pan outfit … yowza!
That was the first episode of TAL I ever had the good fortune to listen to, when they rebroadcast it in 2006. I laughed until I damn near hyperventilated, and my love for Jack Hitt has since only grown stronger.
you don’t have to buy it. the orange “full episode” link above the blue “.95 download” link is free. i found the bolero in the background strangely appropriate (and will forever smile when i hear it in the future!), but the best is really ira. he’s giggling and gasping and snorting in such a geekily charming way through the whole thing that you just can’t help but laugh. i love this american life almost as much as i love the stranger. ๐
me too me too! That was my very first This American Life Episode (in 2006) too! I’ve listened to practically every one since, thanks to the free podcast.
