1. Boris Yeltsin: dead.
2. Don Knotts: also dead.
Dudes, I will try to remember this time. I don’t think I can go through losing you thrice.

Since you brought up the Great Don Knotts, it reminded me of the Immortal Bob Denver. Thanks, DOWNER.
My brother was pissed at me once cause I didn’t let him meet Yeltsin when he came to Vancouver, even though I had one of the invites – mostly cause he wanted to meet Bill Clinton.
Can’t say I was that interested in it, sadly, but if it had been Don Knotts I so would have wanted to meet him – the guy was so funny that I can’t imagine that wouldn’t have been neat.
So, Yeltsin – important at the time, had a drinking problem, changed the world … but still Don Knotts would have been way more interesting to meet.
(yes, met Bill a few times, but usually on rope lines, guy is tall and very friendly, never met either Yeltsin or Knotts, wish I’d met Knotts – still do)
Bob Denver – didn’t Mary Jane retire to this neck of the woods?
There’s also the opposite condition when you think a celebrity is dead, but they actually aren’t…I had that moment last week with Ricardo Montalban, after watching Wrath of Khan.
I watched several episodes of Andy Griffith on New Year’s Day. Don Knotts was the best thing about that show!
What ever happened to the guy who said “De Plane! De Plane!”
He was funny.
@6–He eventually did got off the plane.
This is why Dead or Alive was my favorite category on Remote Control (Jon Stewart’s previous gig).
