I’ll be on KUOW’s The Conversation today, starting at 1 p.m., to talk about this Notes from the Unemployment Line project that’s underway here on Slog.

KUOW’s doing something similar for today’s Conversation, asking: “How Is The Great Recession™ Affecting Your Job?” If you want to tell them (and me, and the world) live on air, the phone numbers are here. And if you want to send me your unemployment story for the Slog project, there’s a new, easy way to send submissions: jobless@thestranger.com.

That’s 94.9 FM starting at 1 p.m. if you want to listen to today’s show.

  1. Eli,

I just listened to you on KUOW. I’m glad you’re focusing on this project, but I wish you would’ve discussed other people’s stories, other than the ones you’ve already posted on SLOG.

Keep ’em coming. I’m currently jobless, so it’s great to hear others’ stories, and how they’re being creative in finding unconventional work.

  2. @1: Good point. I’ll be on the radio again tomorrow talking about this, so I’ll keep what you said in mind. Meanwhile, keep checking back on Slog… My plan is to post a story a day. Thanks for listening!

  3. I had the same thought as 1, plus the fact that while they are entertaining stories, they can’t be very representative of what you have been receiving.
