Gravestone GeneratorThanks to Slog Tipper Callie, who wants us all to know about this:

…drivers can visit McGuire, Jennings and Miller Funeral Home in Rome [Georgia] to sign a contract stating they plan to drink or take drugs and then drive on New Year’s Eve. If they die in a wreck that day, the funeral home will give them a free burial.

I understand that this is supposed to make you think twice about drinking and driving, but I wonder if any suicidal people will take them up on their offer. Funerals are friggin’ expensive.

  1. there are also tax implications – I think 2010 is the year where there is no fed estate tax – or did they plug that hole yet?

  2. If a driver signs the contract and doesn’t die in a wreck, will the funeral home give free funerals to the people killed by the driver???
