Hahahahahahaahaahahahaaha!!!
Hey lady! Your foot is melting inside your disgusting mummified sausage mush-boot!
Ugg boots cause “serious foot problems,” according to some doctor:
Dr. Ed Chairman a podiatrist in Center City admits they look great [NOT A FASHION DOCTOR], but have no support for the foot and ankle and he’s seeing a number of patients in pain:
“What I’ve been doing is making them a sport orthotic, the type of orthotic you use for running even tennis. Making it fit the Uggs. If it fits the sneaker, it will fit the Uggs.”
He says if you’re an Ugg lover and are in pain, don’t ignore the trouble. He says a problem that can be solved with an orthotic today could require surgery next year.
Hahahahahaahahaha. But more importantly, CAN YOU IMAGINE WHAT IT SMELLS LIKE IN THERE? The great wooly toe swamp.
Thanks, Matt Hickey.

At least it doesn’t have hobo pee inside.
PROVE IT.
I don’t know why anybody would want to wear those things in the first place. I always said they should have been called “UGGly.”
My wooly slippers have a funk rising from them that you wouldn’t believe … I can’t even IMAGINE what something of a similar material but with no ventilation would smell like. Good god, call the haz-mat crew.
I’m sure the doctor has a compelling reason why off-the-shelf inserts wouldn’t work fine. And I’m sure that reason is written on stationary with a Mercedes dealer logo at the top.
Did someone seriously get rich making suede moon boots?
The fact is that most of us non-fragile (well at least footwise) folks can walk around in flip flops, uggs, crocs, bare feet and not need to see a doctor. If you’re feeble then yeah stick with the Buster Browns.
I thought we were going back to binding women’s feet. No seriously, are we not?
West, why you gotta chuckle at my funions??
The name Dr. Chairman reminds me of that scene in The Office when Dwight tells Michael he went to a dentist named “Dr. Crentist” to get a crown put on.
Uggs went out of style in TEXAS (you know, that backwards redneck place that Seattle is so far ahead of) about 3 years ago.
Just shows you how far behind everything Seattle is, fashion-wise.
#11, Uggs aren’t in style in Seattle.
Most of the women I’ve seen wearing them are from Japan, actually.
@12 they were as of about a month ago…
@14: Just because a handful of dumb whores insist upon wearing something ugly does not make it “in style.”
@14: Stop trying to make fetch happen.
i like to wear them with my utilikilt.
My future husband Moritz Volz has admitted to wearing them, but he’s German and they’re not known for their taste in footwear.
Nothing worse than seeing people walking on the sides crumples Uggs. Scraping their heels down the street in the rain. They truly are the shoes that make you look like a lazy slob.
Brain not working well because of flu, can’t type, going to nap. Still hate Uggs.
mine are not stinky and are super comfy.. just sayin’.
Go barefoot.

What exactly would making custom orthotics to be worn in shitty unsupportive shoes do to benefit the patient? The podiatrist is as much a retard as the girl wearing the shoes.
An ex-friend of mine wore hers all the time. All the FUCKING TIME. The wool was all matted down, and let me tell you, on rare occasions when she took them off there was definitely an aroma that rivaled Tacoma’s wafting out of them.
They are disgusting. And stupid looking. And even more stupid looking in the middle of summer with shorts.
I don’t care how hot you are, Uggs will make you look like you have cankles. Why the fuck does anyone wear them? They frump-a-phize any outfit.
@16: Bless you for that.
So 2003!
FYI Uggs came back with a vengence this season. They may have been out of style a few years ago, but they’re back. Albeit largely with the young (& asian) crowd for some reason.
I used to really hate the way they looked but I have to admit they are growing on me. That said, I’d NEVER own a pair of them myself, and would constantly heckle any friend of mine that wore them.
BTW backwards Texass, yer still backwards!
Only bogans and westies wear ugg boots.
I hate those as much as I hate flip-flops, but I’ve resigned myself to their existence. I’m surprised they’re still being worn by so many people.
people at the jersey shore have been wearing them since the early 90s. including myself. uggs are amazing. i only wish they had never become so well known.
@32, oh the jersey shore. where such fashion delights as dark eyeliner-as-lip-liner, acid washed jeans and giant fake fiberglass nails reign as fashion supreme.
They’re for clueless sorority girls and asians who “scrape along” instead of “walk.”
#32: Amen. I got mine down by Ocean Grove in 1994. Back then, nobody was accusing me or the boots of being fashionable. One friend, who probably got them in every color 10 years later, said she wouldn’t be seen in public with me in “those ugly boots.” But I still have the same pair. They still keep my feet warm and dry. And they don’t slouch. Or stink. Thanks very much.
People don’t wear Uggs for the fashion. They wear them for the function. Before I got my pair of Uggs I wore good-looking boots that leaked and soaked my feet when I stepped in a puddle and had so little insulation that my toes froze even when they weren’t soaked. My Uggs keep my feet warm and dry. Therefore I wear Uggs.
Ugh, Jesus. Lots of girls wear them up here in Toronto, and I gotta say, Uggs are not suited for intense snowy weather. They soak up the snow and slush, and the material gets eaten alive by the salt in the water. They start rotting and lose what little structure they had in the first place. It’s fucking disgusting watching girls walk around with these piles of dirty, rotted wool and suede around their ankles. The shaft of the shoe is so saggy that some girls end up walking on them.
If you do wear them, please freakin’ weatherproof the shit out of them, and keep them clean with water and vinegar.
If you really want warmth, get boot liners for your existing boots or wear real socks.
I haven’t really noticed whether Asian girls wear them more here — probably less than plain ol’ white girls, actually, and there’s a much bigger Asian population in Toronto than in most places.
