When I was a kid, all I ever wanted (besides a horse) was for my dad to let us use his Jonsered™ chain saw to carve our pumpkins. He never did (damnit) but at the Fremont Oktoberfest this Sunday, at 1 p.m. on the main stage, you can watch adult carvers let the pumpkin guts and c-saws fly in the Annual Texas Chainsaw Pumpkin Carving Contest.

Kids can also enter something called the “Zucchini 500” (decorating and racing the goofy, green gourds.) Check out all the all-ages events right here.
