Maybe you’ve heard of the “Barns for Obama” campaign in rural Ohio…

This morning, on my way down to Tacoma for this afternoon’s Joe Biden rally, I noticed Shelly Farnham embarking upon the urban equivalent near the intersection of 12th and John—call it garages for Obama:

  1. Nice! Is that the garage door on John that has had the weird science fiction mural for the last several years? Weird to think it’s gone, but I definitely like the replacement.

  2. Hopefully this one will not get tagged up like Barbarella did… I was SO upset for Shelly when I saw that ugly ass tag over the top of the one amazing and beautiful Barbarella…

  3. The tagging is ugly, but Shelly Farnham’s plagiarism is worse. If she’s going to be blogging and on news casts she should at least mention she COPIED this image from Shephard Fairey (who ironically is a famous graffiti artist who has spray painted and put decals on scores of private properties over many years).

  4. Everyone knows that’s not original artwork. She isn’t claiming it as her own — at least not in any of the news clips that I’ve seen.

Nicely done Shelly. I hope it stays up for at least 8 years…
