A 19-year-old allegedly stabbed another woman four times after arriving late, complaining about the anger movie, and then being told by the victim to “give the class a chance.” Now the victim is saying she can’t work and that the state is responsible, even though the worst stab required nothing more than a Band Aid!

  1. True story, I work at a non-profit where we teach all kinds of classes everyday. Once there was a conflict resolution class in our most visible (to the lobby) classroom in the morning and then the instructor of the afternoon class forgot to change the sign on the door to First Aid.

So visitors were able to look right into a classroom that was clearly marked “Managing Conflict Resolution” — and see a room full of people putting bandages and splints on one another all afternoon.

  2. Being assaulted has a hell of a lot more to do with the horror of being attacked and far less to do with your physical healing time. The psychological effects of being violently attacked can make it difficult to function as you did before, but I guess acknowledging that would get in the way of mocking the woman for rightly blaming the state for putting her in a room with an armed psycho.

    Nice victim-blaming.
