What I find most compelling about it is what it says about our culture – not just in a “what will we sink to” reality-show kind of way, but about the talent crossoveer between what job segments are both tech-savvy and unemployed. The key to keeping this site popular will be moderating the results so that “interesting” things stay at the top – if it gets popular enough that, eBay-like, it requires a sophisticated search engine to find anything more than “I will give you a link that answers a question you might have”-type offers.

So Paul, do you feel ripped off now, knowing you could be making five bucks for a book recommendation? It kind of reminds me of the time when my friend told several of us that her mom was a sex worker and got about $200 per blow job (not sure how true it was). The rest of us – all women, all married to men – got real quiet and thoughtful-like for a second until one piped up and said what we were all thinking, “Shit, I’ve been giving James free blowjobs for twenty years.
