“Recession? Thank you, but I’ll pass.”
You’ve read The Stranger‘s Economic Survival Guide (including Your Money; Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Food and Drink; Your Sanity; and (a special Kelly O investigation) How to Get a Sugar Daddy (including free full-length fox-fur coats!). Favorite quote: “Imagine a conversation with your descendants years from now. Do you want to say ‘I coped’ or ‘I gave up and lost hope’?”
Now you just need a pep talk from this awesome guy. (Click “I’VE HAD ENOUGH, COUNT ME IN.”)
The norecessionforme site was created by <a href=”http://hsgadv.com/
“>an ad agency near Philadelphia. Obviously it’s to their benefit if people continue to consume—their tagline is “Be conspicuous”—but the site has lots of good links and is smart, funny, and good-looking. Well played, Holton Sentivan & Gury.

Cars really are not all that expensive to own if you make a habit of parking legally, and don’t rack up extra penalties and court costs when you do get a ticket.
I trying to say, that Economic Survival Guide had way to much ironic subtext (Pursuit of Food and Drink?!) to even read at all without a spit take every paragraph.
I wonder if Bethany Jean Clement would ever check her attitude to pour coffee or pump gas.
Why is there no option to vote for the “I’m fucked” guy? At least I didn’t see one. I’d go there.
I hear you can get 10 percent of taxes owed by firms and their execs/CEOs who don’t pay the taxes they owe the IRS if you track down their assets and illegal tax statements and report them.
It’s a good job.
And revenge is sweet.
Classic knee-jerk American boosterism is a pointless pain. But good detailed ideas and good honest discussion are priceless.
@4 Will… I hear that you’re an idiot. What I read from your postings does not disprove this notion.
@6 – You’ve been on Slog for ten minutes. Will has been lodged into Slog like a bone spur for a very long time. Congratulations for noticing at this recent date. Who’s the idiot?
@7 (Will? Is that you?) You misunderstand. I’ve been reading Slog for a few years now. I just rarely comment. I actually work a real job where I don’t have the time to fuck around on the net, let alone instantly comment on every post like your beloved WIS does.
Issur, Ecce Homo, now those were entertaining trolls. Daniel b Keinker (or whatever the hell his name is) comes close. Will is just really fucking annoying. Anyone posts anything, he’s an expert no matter the topic. It is getting tiring. There are many regular long-time commenters here that I don’t agree with, but I can appreciate their style, wit, and intelligence. None of those qualities apply to Will in Seattle as he appears on this blog.
Go help yourself out.
@8 If you’ve been around for a few years, how does WiS get to you only now? His effect takes only a few comments to activate. He’d be a tick the size of a short bus if he’s just getting to you now. Unlikely. WiS does not speak about himself in the third person; it would detract from the urgency, directness and personal touch of his world view.
